Echoing Reprimand: How Does it Work?

You might scroll over the tooltip on your new Kyrian ability Echoing Reprimad and wonder, “what the hell did I just read?” What does it mean, and what does the ability do?

Echoing Reprimand is a combo 2-point combo generating attack that “Animacharges” a combo point. If you use your finisher exactly on the blue Animacharged combo point, the damaging finisher will act as a 7-point ability for Eviscerate, Black Powder, and Rupture.

Hopefully my explanation is a little more understandable for the tooltip. If that is still a little unclear, I will go into more detail below and also cover some cool things about the ability you might not be aware of.

Using Echoing Reprimand as a Finisher

What’s confusing about this ability is exactly how to use your damaging finisher (Eviscerate, Black Powder, or Rupture) to gain the benefit of 7-combo points.

/Stopattack Macro

While waiting for energy to regenerate for Eviscerate, Black Powder, or Rupture, you may over-generate a combo point and miss your opportunity to land a 7-point finisher. To avoid this issue, you might want to consider using a /stopattack macro. Macro:

Echoing Reprimand Ignores Armor

As this is the highest damaging combo-point generating ability Rogues have, it should be used with Symbols of Death to guarantee a critical strike. To top it off, this ability is Arcane and ignores armor so it will really pack a punch. I’ve seen it crit for over 10K!
